Rebecca Fong is a lecturer in Intercultural Communication at the University of the West of England (UWE) in Bristol, England. She grew up in an international family, studied languages at Oxford and Education at Bristol, and spent 10 years abroad teaching, mainly in Japan.

Rebecca worked as a photographer on the university newspaper before specialising in travel photography and publishing articles in this field. Her photographic interests lie in all aspects of culture and communication, and her research focuses particularly on visual ethnography projects with young people and the elderly. She is increasingly interested in the processes at work at the interface of visual anthropology and photojournalism. She can be commissioned for documentary work in any area related to culture, travel, education or communication.
